Many of us have been feeling the intensity of the recent eclipse period. You may have experienced sudden emotional fluctuations, feeling tearful, overwhelmed or unusually sensitive for no obvious reason. Perhaps you’ve felt distant from others, as though you no longer quite belong, or found yourself craving solitude and wanting to withdraw from the world.
You may also have experienced a sense of stagnation, feeling as though you’re standing still while everything around you continues to move forward. Physically, you may have noticed unusual exhaustion, body aches, headaches, disrupted sleep or a heightened sensitivity to your surroundings.
Eclipse periods have a way of bringing what has been sitting beneath the surface into our awareness. Things we may have previously ignored, tolerated or rationalised can suddenly become impossible to overlook! You may have found yourself witnessing self-sabotaging behaviours, questioning relationships, or developing a strong aversion to people, places and situations that you once tolerated with ease.
These experiences are not necessarily setbacks. They create the space needed to recognise, reflect upon and release what is no longer aligned with who you are becoming. Themes around relationships, finances and health may have been particularly highlighted during this time. You may have experienced changes, challenges or revelations in one or more of these areas. Beneath these external circumstances lies a deeper call to notice where resistance exists in your life and question the beliefs, patterns and behaviours that keep you repeating cycles or confined within a reality you have already outgrown.
Do you feel like you’ve outgrown your current life? If so, the message coming through strongly at this time may be the insight needed to help facilitate change.
Return to the Intelligence of the Body
One of the strongest messages coming through is the need to step out of the mind and reconnect with the primal intelligence of the body. Our bodies have always been vessels of communication. Long before we intellectualise an experience, the body is already responding to it. Through sensations, emotions, instincts and intuitive knowing, it is constantly communicating information to us.
We often know when something doesn’t feel right. We know when certain people make us uncomfortable, when a particular environment leaves us feeling drained, or when a situation feels unsafe or out of alignment, even when we cannot logically explain why.
Yet we have been conditioned to override these signals. We have been taught to analyse, rationalise and think our way through almost everything. We search for evidence, explanations and logical reasons for what we already know intuitively. We convince ourselves to remain in situations that our bodies have been telling us to leave, because our minds have found reasons to stay. But the intelligence of the body often perceives what the conscious mind has not yet been able to articulate.
As the Divine Feminine energy continues to rise, there is a strong calling to return to this embodied way of knowing. Embodying the feminine asks us to become more receptive, to listen and trust what is being communicated within us. Our internal navigation system can help us recognise where to move, what to pursue and what to walk away from. When we become deeply attuned to our bodies, we can begin to recognise warning signs much earlier. Instead of remaining in unhealthy relationships, environments or circumstances until we are completely depleted, we can learn to respond to the first whispers of discomfort rather than waiting for the body to scream.
Perhaps this is why some of you have felt as though your body has been in overdrive over the past few weeks, screaming, shouting and demanding your attention.
Thinking our way out of every problem is no longer enough. In fact, continually overriding what we feel can become a source of stagnation.
Our intuition and our capacity to feel are navigation tools. They can lead us towards people, places, opportunities and experiences that the thinking mind may not yet be able to see clearly. They are keys that can unlock doors to areas of our lives that once felt distant, unavailable or unachievable.
As we move beyond eclipse season, clarity can begin to emerge. You may suddenly feel called to make significant changes in your life. You may find yourself questioning what you once considered certain or feeling an undeniable pull towards something new. Your external reality may not yet reflect your deepest desires, but internally you may sense that something has shifted.
You know that you cannot continue in the same way. And this is where trust becomes important.
Not everyone will understand the decisions you are making. When you begin operating from a deeper place of intuition and embodied knowing, your choices may not always make sense to others. This chapter requires non-conventional approaches which may be at odds with societal norms. But those who step out and live life on their own terms and not adhere to the prescribed collective ‘rules’ and ‘regulations’ will find the autonomy they have been looking for.
Everything you have experienced, everything that has challenged you, stretched you, humbled you, disappointed you and forced you to grow over these past few years has been preparing you for this moment. Your growth, wisdom and resilience have brought you through an initiation of their own. As you dare to think, feel and operate differently, you may discover that the life you once believed you had to accept is no longer the life you are willing to live. You stand here now as the alchemist of your own reality, with the ability to transform everything you have learned into something new.
Listen to your body.
Listen to your intuition.
Listen to what your emotions are revealing.
Listen to what no longer feels right.
Listen to what is calling you forward.
Often, the discomfort you’ve been experiencing is not a sign that something is wrong with you, but a sign that you are no longer meant to remain where you are. Allow yourself to feel your way through this next chapter, trust what you know within, and just like water, allow yourself to flow. Sometimes choosing yourself and stepping into the unknown is exactly what brings you closer to the life you are meant to live.
