2pm EST/6pm GMT

Maimouna Jah, educational speaker and passionate advocate for creating safer spaces for Black mothers in Germany, joins us to share her invaluable wisdom. Her deep motivation to support mothers comes from her own painful experience with infant loss and the lack of adequate support, especially for Black mothers during pregnancy. Understanding the unique challenges many women face, Maimouna is dedicated to making sure no one feels alone in their journey.

With a strong belief in holistic approaches to women’s health, she has partnered with Verona from Ancestral Voices to include cultural and spiritual wisdom to help women navigate their journeys with strength, compassion, and empowerment. Together, they offer a nurturing space that honours both the body and spirit, guiding women through the complexities of motherhood and beyond.

– African cultural perspectives on conception
– Water rituals for fertility & infertility
– Using with the four elements for healing
– Grief and impact on relationships
– Ancestral rituals surrounding child loss
– Impact of lack of community
– Postpartum care, mental & physical health
– Misconceptions around child loss
– Cultural and societal pressures

Through shared stories and collective reflection, we aim to break the silence, promote healing, and provide a compassionate space for women, families, and communities navigating these journeys. Whether you seek support, understanding, or simply a safe place to listen, this conversation is for you.
