AFRIMERICAN Myths and COSMOLOGIES: a Comparative Approach

Afrimerica is presented as a cultural imaginary where African and Indigenous traditions intersect by exploring mythological, cultural, and spiritual connections before and after 1492.
A pioneering presentation by Marimer Berberena, PhD, it delves deeply into shared themes and concepts in the cosmological frameworks of indigenous African and Latin-American Traditions.

These include principles that inform the nature of existence and life’s cycles, complementarity and balance, as well as life and death and much more. In so doing, she also highlights the nature of Universal communications and how it informs societal frameworks, human attitudes and behaviour patterns in both cultural frameworks.
