"A Black History Month Special"

SOUND, RHYTHM & SPIRITUALITY!

A special one-off workshop of spiritual education, where theory meets practice. An Ancestral Voices presentation on the role of sound in African Spirituality; how singing and drumming in particular, facilitate spiritual communications between the various realms of being.
There will also be a talk and demonstration of Bata drumming (from the Yoruba Ifa and Afro-Cuban Lukumi traditions) by Ifa initiate and drummer, Awo Ifaleke Anyandolapo, of the Egbe Oduniyi School of Bata Drumming.

The second half of the workshops will involve participants practising on the Bata drums under the supervision of Ifaleke. Spaces are severely limited and only bookings in advance will be allowed entry on the day, due to restrictions from the venue. So its essential to book now if interested.
